Review : Lancome DreamTone Ultimate Dark Spot Corrector

Lancome DreamTone Dark Spot Corrector : Allow me to start off with a disclaimer.  I am a marketer’s wet dream.  Show me any beauty product beautifully packaged in pink and I’ll throw myself all over it like the girls when they met The Bachelor (oops, did I just reveal my new reality TV obsession?!).  This Lancome bottle is not only pink, but it is one up with ombre pink!!!

Me Time AKA Indulging in Whatever Tickles My Fancy

indulging in whatever tickles my fancy

Fantastic news!  Hubby got a job which he started last week which explains the lack of posts due to full-on SAHM (stay at home mum) duties.  And boy, I seriously underestimated how a mini human could keep me so busy!!

Don’t get me wrong, I love my little fambam dearly but when they went on a Daddy Daughter Date recently (they actually went supermarket shopping in Coles hehe), I was beyond ecstatic to have a couple hours of “me time” to indulge in whatever tickled my fancy.  The first thing I did was strip naked…

go-to exception oil review, go-to skincare, go-to exception oil, exceptionoil

She’s pretty, she’s witty, she’s an expert on writing about beauty and she recently popped a sprog.  No, I’m not talking about me…!  I’m talking about Zoe Foster Blake who launched her own skincare line, Go-To, earlier this year.

The Go-To range currently consists of a lip balm, cleanser, exfoliating facial pads, face cream and Exceptionoil – a nourishing body oil which I had the pleasure to trial.

#babybunty : Funny Baby Meme

#babybunty, funny baby memes, baby meme

Since none of my family members live in Australia, they demand daily photos and updates of #BabyBunty.  And I get in trouble if the photo is blurry (hello, she is a baby and will not sit still!) or she wears the same onesie or her bib is dirty.  Yep, that’s my family for ya – they are not easily satisfied!  But I guess it’s a fun challenge trying to take interesting photos of her every day.

Lately, I’ve started thinking up witty captions to go with the photos (like those funny baby memes I constantly see on Facebook) and here’s one that got my sister’s approval so I thought I’d share it with you guys too.  Hope it gave you a little giggle!

Skincare Review : Olay Aquaction

Olay Aquaction review, Olay Acquaction range

During my recent travels, when I landed in Scotland, it was (unsurprisingly) F-F-F-FREEZING.  My skin immediately felt the effects of the long flights, the plunging temperatures and gas central heating and it literally started cracking up!

I was like – WTF?  I have family and friends to catch up with who I haven’t seen for almost 4 years!!  WHY ME?!!  I can’t let them see me looking like a frumpy bum!!!

Luckily, the smart cookie inside me must have anticipated this because before I left Hong Kong to head to UK, I had picked up a few products from the Olay Aquaction range and they miraculously saved my skin and it was back to normal in a matter of days.

10 Tips for Travelling in Hong Kong with Babies & Young Children

travel tips, Hong Kong travel tips, HK travel

After sharing my Hong Kong shopping haul a couple weeks ago, a lovely reader – Hi Grace! – asked if I could share some tips as she would be going to Hong Kong in September.  Although I am not from Hong Kong (my parents are but I’m a true Scottish lassie!), I have holidayed there plenty of times – as a young child, grumpy teenager and as an adult.  In fact, I have been to HK for the last 8 years in a row – the lure of the cheapo shopping and yummy food haha!

Anyway, this year’s trip to HK was different as we had a baby (who was a mere 3 months old then!)…AND we survived…AND rebooked our flights to spend another week in HK so it must have been good!

Here are 10 tips for travelling in Hong Kong with babies and young children :-
