And it’s a Date! Of the Up variety featuring L’Oreal Paris, Benefit Cosmetics & Clinique
That was my ever-so-witty title and play on words for “Update”. Yes, dear readers, although I have a few drafts dying to go live, I thought I would give you a brief update on the 3 things that little old beauty blogger me got up to recently in the beauty blogging world :-
1. L’Oreal Paris New Products Launch
I was seriously impressed with the exciting new anti-ageing (yes, I NEED IT!) Revitalift Laser x3 range. I am a lover of all things anti-ageing but some procedures, i.e. actual laser treatment, is not possible for me as I have a LOT of debt (and I have totally gone into overdraft mode in one of my bank accounts but that’s another story for not-a-blog!) Anyway, this range has promising results and I cannot wait to test it on my aged 32 and a half face!
And like, ERMAGHERD!!! *squee* The make-up!!! New releases in Australia include L’Oreal Shine Caresse (yes, they are out in shops now in Australia! I swatched the ones I bought in HK here) and mascara and nail polishes. After the success of L’Oreal’s first BB cream, they have more products in the Nude Magique range including CC Cream (read : what are CC creams?), L’Oreal BB Blush (you will LOVE this!) and L’Oreal BB Powder.
Once I have had time to play with all the products mentioned, expect photos and reviews and swatches galore
2. Benefit Cosmetics Fake Up Launch
Fake Up is a unique hydrating crease-control concealer – perfect for under your eyes to conceal dark circles and fine lines, I tell ya! I got to meet a real-life Dr Feelgood (which incidentally is the 1st Benefit product I ever bought; reviewed here), hang out with my awesome Sydney beauty blogging friends and drank apple Martinis served by topless men with 6 packs (shh, don’t tell my hubby!).
Unfortunately, due to Melbourne golf-ball-hailstone-storm, Val (AKA Ponikuta the beauty blogger) and I got stranded in Sydney and suffered severe sleep deprivation – perfect opportunity to put Fake Up to the test
3. Top 5 Clinique It Girl 2013 Finalist
Yes, me!!! One of the 5 finalists to become Clinique It Girl 2013!!! Can you believe it? No, me neither. But yay! I’m up against tough competition though – all the other 4 girls have only just reached their 20′s! Youth is on their side!!! But I have my fingers and toes crossed.
If you would like to vote for me (you BETTER vote for me
), then Like Clinique Australia’s Facebook page (link) and watch the video clip (link), then LAUGH AT MY VIDEO and vote (for Ling! Pretty please
). Please note – the link only works on laptops / PC and not mobile phones / iPads. By voting, you can win a $500 Clinique prize pack. Voting ends 13th March 2013 (I think…) and THANK YOU very much if you do vote for me! (And you can also click on the photo and it will take you directly to the voting page!
)
YOU CAN VOTE MORE THAN ONCE AND AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT!!! Now that’s a gamechanger!!!
Anyway, if that wasn’t a busy enough week for me, I also dyed my roots. I think I got everywhere – bathroom sink, mirror, floor, my face, ears, scalp and right eyelid – stained red EXCEPT my roots!!! DOH!!!! And yes, I took photos so you can laugh at me when I blog about it later
I hope this week is just as exciting but let’s try and get Monday over with ASAP! Monday-itis is not my BFF!
What did you get up to last week? Tell me anything and everything.

@Aislin, *squee* Thanks so much Aislin!!! Your support means a lot to me. Really appreciate it
And guess what? The L’Oreal Shine Caresse stains are available in stores – but I, personally, have not found them at my local Priceline yet. They are $23.95 though so you must keep your eyes peeled for special deals

@Ling, Any time Ling, I love your blog and wish you well in the competition
and that’s great news! They weren’t at my local Priceline when I checked it out but I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for a good deal on them so I can pick up a few to play with. Thanks very much and keep up the great work!
