First of all, I want to thank everyone who took their time to leave a comment and send me a message to welcome me back to beauty blogging on this blog { I did write a few beauty posts on my lifestyle blog but nobody reads that except maybe one of my sisters…? }.  It means a lot!!!

Anyway, I was hoping to kick off my beauty blogging comeback with an awesome never-been-blogged-before-brand-spanking-new-product but it’s not going to happen because I have dropped off most of the PR call-out lists now so I don’t have a clue what’s new in the beauty world these days.

Instead, the beauty product I am going to blog about today was purchased after I read two raving reviews of it…and the fact that it was half price helped too!

Without further ado, the product I am going to review today is…

*drum roll*

Maybelline Tattoo Brow 3 Day Gel Tint { well done if you already guessed the product from reading the title }

It’s basically a DIY paint-on gel tint for brows which lasts up to 3 days; perfect for those who would love daily brow definition but don’t have time to draw in brows every morning.  That’s ME to a tee!

It’s really simple to use in 3 easy steps :-

1.  Apply a thick even layer over brows in the shape you like
2.  Wait for at least 20 minutes for it to dry.
3.  Peel it off and brush brows gently with a spoolie

The above photos are from my first time using the tint so as you can see, I got the perfect right brow but effed up my left brow and made it look like a reverse Nike brow LOLZZZZZ!!!

{ FYI, there is a PERMANENT black scar on / under my left brow and also an indented scar above that brow from a car accident I had when I was 18 years old.  I was a passenger in the back seat when my friend lost control of his car and it somersaulted twice and I got thrown out the side window onto oncoming cars of a motorway!!!  Anyway, I wear those scars with pride because it is a daily reminder of the fact that I survived a near death experience and I am grateful to be live and kicking with just a few scars }

So, check this…

My husband laughs EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. he sees me with the gel tint on my brows.  He thinks I look like an Angry Bird!!!  Yes, the red Angry Bird from that annoying game that was popular yonks ago.

And if I do actually get angry at him for saying that, he just laughs even more because not only do I LOOK like an Angry Bird but I am also ACTING like “an angry burd” ( burd = Scots slang for female partner ) *rolls my eyes…till they fall out of my head*

Things I like about Maybelline Tattoo Brow 3 Day Gel Tint are :-

  • Simple and fuss-free application
  • Easy to correct any minor hiccups – brush out with spoolie and/or use makeup remover
  • Time saver
  • Looks better than when I pencil in my brows and also, better than any salon brow tints I have had in the past!!!!
  • The shade Dark Brown is perfect for me
  • Makes my husband laugh at me

Things I do not like about Maybelline Tattoo Brow 3 Day Gel Tint are :-

  • Lasts 2 days max on me { but then again, I haven’t left it on for longer than half an hour so I am not sure if it will last longer if I leave it on for longer…?? }
  • RRP $24.95 for 5ml which is rather pricey for a drugstore brand { BUT there’s always discounts on the Maybelline brand eg Priceline currently has 3 for 2 offer }

I’m not sure how long a tube of Maybelline Tattoo Brow 3 Day Gel Tint will last me but I shall enjoy using this for now as I do like looking like an Angry Bird and also, I do like waking up to defined brows in the morning.

Evidently, I have given birth to another aspiring baby beauty blogger!!!  Thank you little Dainty for kindly modelling my tube of Maybelline Tattoo Brow 3 Day Gel Tint with your cute ickle little hands and flashing us your little piggy toes too!!!

Have you tried this yet?  Do you know of any other brow tints I should try?  And be honest, do I really look like an Angry Bird????
