I’m kickstarting this week with another Beauty Bites post 🙂  If you recall, Beauty Bites is a new series on the blog which contain short and sweet bursts of beauty goodness.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects review, Sally Hansen Salon Effects Easter, Sally Hansen Salon Effects Checker Out

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips : Nail wraps, nail polish strips, nail stickers are everywhere these days!  It’s quick, simple and fuss-free to get fancy-looking nails.  The ones I tried are from Sally Hansen’s Easter Collection, Checker Out – the pattern is adorable!  Check out more patterns and buy Sally Hansen Salon Effects.  (Note : this was sent to me by PR.)

Current Favourite Make-Up Look :  This week, I have been rocking this metallic olive eye look – Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, Urban Decay Oil Slick and Mildew from the Ammo Palette, L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara, FOA HD Eyeliner and Revlon Cotton Candy Lip Butter

Taiwanese Beauty Magazines :  I had lunch with beauty bloggers – Tine, Val & Tina – and Tina kindly passed me some beauty magazines.  I can only read a few Chinese words but it’s the pictures of the pretty Asian girls that are amazing.

the pure - natural skincare products

“The Pure – Natural Skincare” :  I was sent a few products from this company which embrace natural and organic skincare products.  Sadly, my face loves chemicals too much…so instead of wasting this, I emptied the serum and moisturiser all over my body and my sandpaper legs soaked it up beautifully.  If you are an organic skincare lover, head on over to www.bygreenpeople.com and check out their range.

Gift from beautyheaven :  Awww, how sweet!  Got sent a lovely gift from beautyheaven because I was shortlisted as a finalist in the Australian BlogStar Awards.  I can’t wait to use the lovely smelling Palmolive shampoo!  I also got sent THREE of the same Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadows – so I am thinking of having a giveaway soon – would you be interested in winning this?

Meet Blog Reader Manasi :  Eeeks!  Big highlight of my week was meeting blog reader, Manasi, on Sunday.

“Do you have a blog?”

It was my “I feel like I’m famous” moment!!!  It is so amazing to meet someone who reads my blog and recognises me in IKEA, of all places!!

And thank God, I did have make-up on, LOL!

Would totally love to meet up with any Melbourne blog readers so drop me an email anytime.  I promise I don’t bite…I’m actually VERY shy and awkward! 😛  And if any of you see me lurking around in Melbourne, please stop me and say hi.  I can usually be found in Priceline, Myer and anywhere that sells amazing food.

It’s strange they sent you 3 of the same shadow quad, but a giveaway is a great idea! If you are interested I am once again running a global beauty blog swap on Beast and Beauty…hope you will check it out and sign up!

Oh Ling you are just hilarious! hehehe I love how your blog actually makes me giggle (all by my lonesome self!) I had a “why won’t the Earth open up and swallow me whole right now” moment yesterday, which highlights the importance of trying to look your best at ALL times!! I was dropping off my little girl at daycare when who do i see? Why, it was the Channel 9 News Crew for A Current Affair!! They were doing a story on daycare centres. And on this particular morning i honestly looked like i had just crawled out from a gutter!! They asked me to do a little segment which i did because i’m such a wimpy YES person :(!!! Arghhh! I cringed again last night when i saw the very perfectly polished newsreader Amelia on TV!

@Milaseer, Ahhh! You were on A Current Affair?! How exciting! But not that great if you didn’t feel like you looked perfectly polished… How do some women do it??? How??? I look like crap ALL the time. My colleagues at work cannot believe that I am a beauty blogger because I do not wear an ounce of make-up to work LOL.

Well I’m hoping they will cut out my bit. Surely, they’ll realise once they see the footage that the only ones who are allowed to look like that are actors playing drug addicts and real life drug addicts! You know, that’s a topic you should tackle Ling! HOW do some women do it?! How do they have the motivation to look perfectly PERFECT ALL THE TIME?! I am a beauty therapist by trade (not anymore now, just a mum now!) and I don’t wear an ounce of make up unless i’m going to a party or a function either! But I do have to say, you looked very pretty that IKEA day! 🙂 And if you didn’t you could’ve said “er blog?! What blog??” hehehelols
