This post is proudly brought to you by Maybelline & Nuffnang.
I’ve had a lot on my plate recently with juggling work responsibilities and parental duties with severe sleep deprivation which translates to tired, dull skin and D.A.R.K. under eye circles and bags. Bring out the world’s smallest violin!
On the plus side, I realised that I was indeed the perfect candidate to trial and review Maybelline’s newest range – SuperStay Better Skin Foundation and Concealer. Bring it on!
Acne. The dreaded skin condition that nobody wants. And if you’re unlucky enough to get it, you will know it is a bitch to manage it.
I come from a family of acne sufferers. My Mum was hospitalised after a crazy hormonal acne breakout after giving birth to one of my 6 younger siblings. And out of my family of 9, only my Dad has acne-free, blemish-free skin. As for me, my acne manifests on my back as bacne. And this bacne had a bitchfit when my hormones surged after giving birth a few months ago.
In terms of makeup, I’ve been embracing my favourite colours this week, namely pink (there can never be too many pink in my life!) and black.
I also had to crack open my brand spanking new Shu Uemura Face Powder Matte and use it BEFORE I took any photos for the blog! Yikes!
I was in lippy heaven when the collection of Maybelline Color Elixir Color Sensational Creamy Lip Lacquers (phew, what a long name to type out!) landed on my desk recently. I had already read rave reviews about these lip-tastic elixirs and I wondered if they would live up to the hype so I immediately put them to the test.
Lancome DreamTone Dark Spot Corrector : Allow me to start off with a disclaimer. I am a marketer’s wet dream. Show me any beauty product beautifully packaged in pink and I’ll throw myself all over it like the girls when they met The Bachelor (oops, did I just reveal my new reality TV obsession?!). This Lancome bottle is not only pink, but it is one up with ombre pink!!!
Fantastic news! Hubby got a job which he started last week which explains the lack of posts due to full-on SAHM (stay at home mum) duties. And boy, I seriously underestimated how a mini human could keep me so busy!!
Don’t get me wrong, I love my little fambam dearly but when they went on a Daddy Daughter Date recently (they actually went supermarket shopping in Coles hehe), I was beyond ecstatic to have a couple hours of “me time” to indulge in whatever tickled my fancy. The first thing I did was strip naked…
You know when you go to the supermarket and you pop in a lipstick (or two!) in your shopping trolley and it’s still considered “groceries”… Well, you can also buy high end cosmetics, specifically (lip) crayons, and consider that “stationery supplies”! You like?
If so, here are 3 luxe lip crayons you should check out :-
- Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in 01 Curviest Caramel
- Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Harlow Red*
- Sisley Paris Phyto-Lip Twist 5 Berry*
