A Little TLC from Tonic Australia plus a Mini Giveaway

The good people at tonic australia sent me over a delightful care package (and some items to giveaway – more on that later) with four of their popular products specially selected to help me relax and rewind in the comfort of my own home.  It has come at a perfect time because tomorrow…*gulps…I’ll be getting some minor oral surgery under my tongue to remove a salivary stone from my salivary gland.  I am probably the poorest healer on the planet so I am panicking slightly.  Anyway, let’s take a closer look at these tonic australia products…

Heritage Scented Candle in Ember ($39.95) : I have been lighting this up after my evening shower when I am moisturising my body and it has become a calming and soothing ritual.  (One of my August ambitions is to moisturise every night and so far, so good!)

Blue Birds Heat Pillow ($34.95) : This is my favourite tonic australia product!  Just pop this in the microwave for 2 minutes and lay it on tired neck and shoulders and feel the warmth melt the tightness away.  Not only that but the lavender scent helps get me ready to sleep.

Blue Birds Eco Sachet ($19.95) : You are supposed to pop them in cupboards and drawers to keep away bugs and keep clothes nice and fresh.  Instead, I pop them under my pillow because somebody who sleeps next to me (i.e. my Husband) likes to emit noxious emissions (i.e. farts) at night and I need something to mask the smell.

Heritage Goats Milk Soap in Ember ($14.95) : Cleopatra bathed in goats milk and so can you by using this soap 😉

Thank you tonic australia for the care package.  You can visit the tonic website here.

Party Idea : Manicure Corner

basketball cupcakes

Last weekend, we celebrated my Husband’s 30th birthday party with his nearest and dearest.  It was a roaring success with chips ‘n’ dips, Nando’s, jelly, basketball-themed cupcakes, dance games on the Wii and a Manicure Corner!

Nail polish collection

The Manicure Corner was squee-worthy!

I brought out 80% of my nail polish collection and laid it all out on a table.  I also added the nail necessities such as nail files, nail polish remover and my nail dotting tools.  And of course, I had to add some sweet chocolate treats in the middle so you could eat that whilst waiting for your nails to dry.

All the girls, aged from 5 to 50+, had their nails painted that night.  And the more artistic girls got to try out their nail art techniques.

It was so much fun!  Yep, a Manicure Corner is definitely a great party idea because now the 5-year-old girl has asked her Mom if she could have a Manicure Corner for her birthday party in October.  Guess who’s bringing the nail polishes to that party? 😛

The guys played with the Wii and had awkward guy chat…but I could see them looking on and wishing that they could get their nails done too!  LOL.

What do you think of the Manicure Corner?  I think I want to throw a Girly Party next time and have the Manicure Corner, a Face Mask Corner and a Makeover Corner.
