When I speak to my non-beauty blogging friends around my age (late twenties / early thirties) about skincare, they always look at me as if I am crazy for using anti-aging skincare products. They think I am “too young” – like hello? I’ve been using anti-aging products since my early twenties! How else can I get away with looking like I’m younger than my actual age?!! Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Aging + Intensive Repair Daily Serum is one the newest anti-aging power packed serums to hit the beauty market. I was given the privilege to trial this for review and better still, there’s one to giveaway to one lucky Aussie reader (more on that later).

One of my favourite beauty bloggers, FutureDerm, released a retinol-based skincare product last year and to show my support for my fellow beauty bloggers, I took the plunge and purchased one. After using it on and off since September last year, I have finally managed to gather my thoughts and opinions together for a review – hooray!!!

I go through face cleansers as if I have ten faces instead of one! Maybe I just have a REALLY BIG pancake face?!!! I double cleanse which means that I use a cleansing oil beforehand to remove any residues of make-up and sunscreen and then I use a cleanser. The following are 3 lucky face cleansers which had the pleasure of cleansing my face for the past few months.
(Psst : I have dry sensitive skin so I had to whisper “Please be gentle” to the cleansers before I cracked them open to use. No, seriously, I did!

Konnichiwa! It means “Hello” in Japanese!
Karl Lagerfeld is one busy man! Not only is he known for luxe labels, Chanel and Fendi, but amongst his many projects, he also collaborated with high street label H&M a few years ago – I remember browsing through the collection but nothing took my fancy. Fast forward a few years and BAM! Karl Lagerfeld has caught my attention once again because he collaborated with possibly my most favourite beauty brand in the world, Shu Uemura. Pictured above is the Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O Advanced Formula. Mon Shu Girl is the face of the Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura Collection and personally, I think she is CREEPY CUTE!

Shu Uemura Tsuya Skin Youthful Radiance Generator was a recent addition in the Shu skincare range and I was blessed to receive one for review. It looked very promising because :-
1. I love Shu Uemura and it could possibly be my favourite beauty brand in the world and I have yet to find a product I totally dislike.
2. It is Made in Japan. (Not being intentionally prejudiced and all to my ancestors, but skincare products “Made in China” don’t really inspire me to slather it on my face. Don’t look at me like that!
)
3. It’s expensive at RRP $110AUD for 30ml bottle. (I know, I know! Just because it’s expensive, doesn’t mean it’s miraculous…but just indulge me!)
4. Shu Uemura Tsuya Skin range (there is a UV Base Mousse as well) was formulated with a special molecule (it’s too science-y for this blog so we shall not go there!) to reactivate skin’s youth – and we all know that this 30-something old hag (i.e. ME!) needs it BADLY!
Thus with claims that it would take “7 days to porcelain-fine, petal-soft, translucent glowing skin”, I diligently slathered Shu Uemura Tsuya Skin Youthful Radiance Generator all over my face for 4 weeks. Did my skin love it? Did it reactivate my youth? Did it make me look 10 years younger?
