Experimenting With Brow Stencils

One day, a Melbourne beauty blogger called Ling decided to buy a pack of brow stencils from one of her favourite Asian stores, Sasa.

eyebrow pencil

Of course, you can’t use an ordinary pencil with brow stencils so she also bought a light brown eyebrow pencil, Brows Up Eyebrow Pencil.

It cannot be that difficult to redefine brows with a brow stencil, right?  WRONG!  As you can see, Ling had great difficulty positioning the brow stencil upon her brows and ended up squishing her eyeballs.

She actually quite liked the eyebrow pencil because it had a lovely shade which wasn’t too harsh.  However, when she removed the brow stencil, she ended up with this…

…thick caterpillar brows!!  BAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!

The End.

LOL!  Clearly, I need help!  How on earth can I redefine my brows??  When I draw them on, it looks terrible.  When I use a brow stencil, it looks even worse!  HELP!!!!  How do you do your brows?

Try using a very stiff, very small angled brow brush and a soft cool brown eyeshadow. Or come to Sydney and I’ll show you!

@Sara-May, You’ll regret saying that because not only will I get you to show me how to do brows…I’m gonna make you show me how to do my eyes too! Stupid Asian eyelids :P

    And contouring too!!! :) )))

I always wondered how people used such stencils. I thought they were to be used with tweezers LOL but using a pencil makes much more sense hehe

@Laura, Hehehe! I suppose if you used tweezers, you would want a reverse stencil if that makes sense….??

you should see how ridiculous i look with stencils… i bought a set because i saw some yt gurus used it and it looked so easy! so i thought i should get a pack and cut down my makeup time. i think i spent a lot of time trying to figure out the placement. i couldn’t believe i did get out of house with those hideous brows!

I think you’re supposed to use the stencil to outline the shape you want and then pluck the hairs that are outside of the line. :)

Maybe the stencil you used was too big for your eye shape? One of my fave brow kits comes with a set of stencils and the first time I used one, I had very similar results. Not a good look. Since then, I’ve been using the smallest stencil and even then, I have to use it more like a guide and adjust it as needed.

@gio, That was the smallest stencil in the pack :( I am destined to have ugly brows forever! NoooooooOOO!OOOooo!!!
