Fab Five Friday

To welcome you all back to another blog post after a wee hiatus due to Return of Pregnancy Sickness – the Sequel (let’s not make it a trilogy please!), I have decided to start up a new weekly series called Fab Five Friday where I showcase 5 fabulous beauty finds.  Sound awesome?  Read on for this Friday’s Fab Five featuring products from Nuxe, Clarins, David Babaii, L’Oreal Paris and GC.

GC Tooth Mousse, L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Powder, David Babaii Blow Out Rapid Blow Dry Spray, Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm, Clarins Eau Ensoleillante Sunshine Fragrance

1.  Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm – FAB LIP BALM!

If like me, you have dry or chapped lips courtesy of Melbourne’s bitter winter, then get thee to the nearest Nuxe stockist and layer on this divine lip balm and watch them transform into kissable soft lips.  Trust me, you will not regret it!  It has a sweet lemon smell which I simply adore and it reminds me so much of Arnott’s Lemon Crisp biscuits which are yummilicious.  But be warned, Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm is housed in a glass jar which means finger dipping is required so it will not suit the germaphobes out there.

2.  Clarins Eau Ensoleillante Sunshine Fragrance – FAB SCENT!

Another fantastic beauty product to get me through the winter blues is this gorgeous scent with top notes of mandarin, grapefruit and watermelon.  Clarins Eau Ensoleillante Sunshine Fragrance is light and uplifting and the bright orange packaging brings a silly smile to my face because when summer comes round this year, I will be a Mummy at last!  (Sorry, just reminding everyone that I am preggers! :P)

3.  David Babaii Blow Out Rapid Blow Dry Spray – FAB CHEAT!

This hair product is fabulous for someone who is an obsessive hair washing freak like me (minimum of 6 times a week).  I LOVE washing my hair but waiting for my mop to dry naturally or even blasting it with a hairdryer is BORING with a capital B.  Enter David Babaii Blow Out Rapid Blow Dry Spray – which is formulated to speed up blow drying time whilst protecting it from heat.  Genius!

4.  L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Powder – FAB FAB FAB!

OMG!  I have had the pleasure of using this for 5 months now…and why have I not blogged about this yet??!!  It is sacrilegious of me!  I shall have to make a mental note to dedicate an entire blog post to this wonderful makeup product which has changed my makeup routine forever!  Anyway, L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Powder is almost like a pressed powder foundation but it’s actually pressed powder BB cream.  It’s difficult for me to compare it to any other because it is the first pressed powder BB I have used and I have loved it since the first day I used it.  I like how it mattifies my skin and makes it velvety smooth, but doesn’t make it look like I have caked it in powder.  I use it ALL the time because it is so easy to just sponge it on all over my face with or without BB cream underneath.  I will be touching pan very soon and it is definitely on my repurchase list.  (I also need to wash the sponge it comes with as I haven’t done so yet….gulps!  Sorry germaphobes!)

5.  GC Tooth Mousse – FAB LIFESAVER!

What is this beauty product you ask?  Well, GC Tooth Mousse is…for your teeth!  What is beauty without a pretty smile? 😉  Anyway, it has been a lifesaver for me after going through so many vomiting sessions from pregnancy.  This tooth product helps neutralise the acidic environment in the mouth.  If you vomit and you rush to brush your teeth, the acid will only cause more damage to the enamel!  Instead, use GC Tooth Mousse first and then brush away.  It is also great for people who have sensitive teeth and for those prone to fillings.  Apparently, it also helps whiten teeth in the long term…but I haven’t noticed any changes myself.  Please note that you can’t buy this at your local pharmacist as it is a dental professional product so pop along to your dentist and see if they sell it.

I really like L’Oreal powders for some reason and this one sounds very nice. Might have to check it out soon. 🙂

I really like the L’Oreal BB powder too, but I think my favourite product from that range is the blusher! Actually has a bit of staying power – love gel blushers but they are hard to find these days, so the L’Oreal one is a bit of a find. Not sure if it’s limited edition or not, though?
