Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blusher, Etude House Princess Etoinette Rose Brush, Etude House Princess Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips, Etude House Princess Etoinette Collection 2013, Etude House in Hong Kong

Year 2013 is all about blushers for me.  When I entered the spanking new Etude House store in Hong Kong (after queueing up for 10 minutes), the first thing to capture my attention was the beautiful girly pink display of the Etude House Princess Etoinette Special Kit.  The price wasn’t displayed (it was HKD $420) but I didn’t care, I knew it was coming back with me to Australia.  It was so precious that I took it in my hand carry luggage!

This is a photo fest beast of a blog post so be prepared to droooooooooool!

Etude House Princess Etoinette Box

Just to give you the deets of what’s exactly in the box :-

  • Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blusher in Pink Petal Kiss (PK001)
  • The egg-ish shaped container for the blusher with a soft powder puff
  • Etude House Princess Etoinette Rose Brush
  • Etude House Princess Etoinette Mirror
  • Etude House Princess Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips in Midnight Masquerade – of which I haven’t used yet because I haven’t take enough pretty photos of it…but I will crack it open this weekend and blog about it next week…maybe 😛

Etude House Princess Etoinette Pink Heart Blusher, Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blush

The Heart Blusher consists of 10 pieces of heart-shaped baked blush – 4 pink, 3 light pink and 3 sheer pink.  Unfortunately, due to travelling from Hong Kong to Melbourne, there was a bit of fall-out BUT thankfully, no broken hearts 🙂

Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blusher, Etude House Princess Etoinette powder puff

How gorgeous is this container?!!!  It looks so luxe even though it is plastic.  The lid screws on so it is secure.  The best thing is – I can reuse this container IF I ever finish using the heart blushers.  Well done to the product packaging manager – I hereby salute you!  And the powder puff is oh-so-soft and I actually haven’t used it yet because I don’t want to dirty it 😛

Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blusher review, Etude House Princess Etoinette Pink Blusher

So after staring at this beauty for a few weeks, I FINALLY cracked it open and gently placed the Heart Blusher pieces into the container.  They actually look a bit like sweets, dontcha think?

The Etude House Rose Brush is also very pretty.  *swoon*  Even looking at these photos are making me go gaga!  Due to the stippling effect of the rose design of the brush, it actually picks up the blush colour really well and feels quite nice on my face.  BUT it isn’t the softest blush brush I have used and it may have been a tiny tiny tiny bit scratchy.

The mirror completes the set.  Pity my face don’t 😉  Gosh, my eyebags…why me??!!!  Anyway, I took more pictures of me in better lighting to show you what the blusher looks like on my face.

It’s a very soft sheer pink with pearly highlighting effect too.  (Please bear with me and my blusher descriptions.  I am new to blusher! :P)  For the colour to show up on photos, I had to be a bit more heavy-handed.  I really love the radiant effect it gives off.

Ahhh, The Heart Blusher really complements my new red hair, doesn’t it? 😉  And if you’re wondering, the red lipstick is from Revlon’s latest lipsticks – ColorStay Ultimate Suede in Couture.

Etude House Princess Etoinette Special Kit

Can you see why I heart Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blusher?  Have I tempted you yet?  I am so glad I bought the Special Kit because it came with all the other complementary bits ‘n’ pieces.  I cannot wait to try the lipstick and will review it soon.

Unfortunately, Etude House is NOT easy to get your hands on unless you live in Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries which stock it.  But there is always ebay!!  I saw the Heart Blusher listed on this ebay seller for $25 – I haven’t ordered from this seller before but 99.8% feedback must be good right?  Walk, don’t run 😛

The next post will be L’Oreal Shine Caresse Wet Stains as requested, and one to giveaway as promised 🙂  I will try and post it up this weekend…but alas, my social life is jam-packed so taking photos may be difficult…!  What is happening?  I got me some real-life friends 😛  Anyway, see you when I see you *mwah*

You look amazing! That is such a cute set, but it really demands a proper dressing room, with a Queen Anne style Mirror and dressing table set…

This is just gorgeous! I would’ve queued too! I queued for several hours for discount sushi last year, so I know I’ve got stamina lol! 😉

Do you find the hearts when combined like that give a consistent colour across your cheeks, or does the colouring vary a bit each time, depending on which pieces get brushed over in the container? I am curious because there seems to be a big container:blusher pearls (hearts) ratio for this product.

    But still, so cute! 😀

    And again, welcome back!

@Sarah, Wow, queueing for sushi for hours? Don’t think I could hack that. I would have been too hungry!!!

And good question – and why do I never think of these questions when I write my review?? Anyway, you have a good point – the colour isn’t actually that consistent every time but similar to the point I cannot distinguish. I guess it depends which pieces are jutting out and what the brush touches.

And yeah, crazy big container – but I was thinking that I could depot other blusher / bronzer pearls into the container eventually when the hearts lose their shape.

Anyway, thanks Sarah – good to be back although I am still not on a regular blogging schedule…

    Hi Ling!!
Omg I love Etude House and this is so beautiful! I have to get my hands on it. I absolutely love the packaging

you can get a lot of the Korean beauty products from Gmarket. That’s how I get mine. The prices aren’t bad and they ship them all to the Gmarket warehouse and then to you for overseas purchases.

    Thats the Blusher!

@Steph, Of course you do!!! You love Korean cosmetics as much as I love you 🙂 I have been on G-Market but it’s so overwhelming it scares me. Maybe you should do a blog post tutorial on how to navigate G-Market???

omg, the packaging has sold me! if all cosmetic marketing people came up with such cute ideas, i’d die poor and materialistically happy with just the packaging than the actual item they’re selling lol the blush looks great! Im not much of a blush person coz i cant seem to get the application right , teach me your secret ling 😀
