Year 2013 is all about blushers for me. When I entered the spanking new Etude House store in Hong Kong (after queueing up for 10 minutes), the first thing to capture my attention was the beautiful girly pink display of the Etude House Princess Etoinette Special Kit. The price wasn’t displayed (it was HKD $420) but I didn’t care, I knew it was coming back with me to Australia. It was so precious that I took it in my hand carry luggage!
This is a photo fest beast of a blog post so be prepared to droooooooooool!
Just to give you the deets of what’s exactly in the box :-
- Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blusher in Pink Petal Kiss (PK001)
- The egg-ish shaped container for the blusher with a soft powder puff
- Etude House Princess Etoinette Rose Brush
- Etude House Princess Etoinette Mirror
- Etude House Princess Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips in Midnight Masquerade – of which I haven’t used yet because I haven’t take enough pretty photos of it…but I will crack it open this weekend and blog about it next week…maybe
The Heart Blusher consists of 10 pieces of heart-shaped baked blush – 4 pink, 3 light pink and 3 sheer pink. Unfortunately, due to travelling from Hong Kong to Melbourne, there was a bit of fall-out BUT thankfully, no broken hearts
How gorgeous is this container?!!! It looks so luxe even though it is plastic. The lid screws on so it is secure. The best thing is – I can reuse this container IF I ever finish using the heart blushers. Well done to the product packaging manager – I hereby salute you! And the powder puff is oh-so-soft and I actually haven’t used it yet because I don’t want to dirty it
So after staring at this beauty for a few weeks, I FINALLY cracked it open and gently placed the Heart Blusher pieces into the container. They actually look a bit like sweets, dontcha think?
The Etude House Rose Brush is also very pretty. *swoon* Even looking at these photos are making me go gaga! Due to the stippling effect of the rose design of the brush, it actually picks up the blush colour really well and feels quite nice on my face. BUT it isn’t the softest blush brush I have used and it may have been a tiny tiny tiny bit scratchy.
The mirror completes the set. Pity my face don’t Gosh, my eyebags…why me??!!! Anyway, I took more pictures of me in better lighting to show you what the blusher looks like on my face.
It’s a very soft sheer pink with pearly highlighting effect too. (Please bear with me and my blusher descriptions. I am new to blusher! ) For the colour to show up on photos, I had to be a bit more heavy-handed. I really love the radiant effect it gives off.
Ahhh, The Heart Blusher really complements my new red hair, doesn’t it? And if you’re wondering, the red lipstick is from Revlon’s latest lipsticks – ColorStay Ultimate Suede in Couture.
Can you see why I heart Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blusher? Have I tempted you yet? I am so glad I bought the Special Kit because it came with all the other complementary bits ‘n’ pieces. I cannot wait to try the lipstick and will review it soon.
Unfortunately, Etude House is NOT easy to get your hands on unless you live in Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries which stock it. But there is always ebay!! I saw the Heart Blusher listed on this ebay seller for $25 – I haven’t ordered from this seller before but 99.8% feedback must be good right? Walk, don’t run
The next post will be L’Oreal Shine Caresse Wet Stains as requested, and one to giveaway as promised I will try and post it up this weekend…but alas, my social life is jam-packed so taking photos may be difficult…! What is happening? I got me some real-life friends Anyway, see you when I see you *mwah*
