When Illamasqua launched their Human Fundamentalism Collection, I was rather surprised to see a Neutral Palette eyeshadow quad there. For me, Illamasqua is known for their crazy bold colours which are in your face, so to speak, and having a Neutral Palette seemed rather tame for them.
However, after receiving Illamasqua Neutral Palette in the mail, I was able to have a better look at it and play around with the shades and then, I realised that there’s more to this Neutral Palette than meets the eye.
The four eyeshadows in Illamasqua Neutral Palette are Stealth (matte milky), Vintage (antique bronzey-gold), Wolf (matte cocoa brown) and Obsidian (matte coal black). All are strongly pigmented and blend very well.
In skilled hands, the shades can be used to create sculpted highlights and stark contours anywhere on the face and body. The shades can be mixed up to create drama and glamour. And in amateur hands like mine, I can use it for everyday looks.
Illamasqua Neutral Palette has received more love from me than my Urban Decay Naked2 Palette and that is saying something!
