iSwatch : Rimmel London BB Cream
I’m rolling out a lot of new tester posts this week with Tried & Tested Trio, Initial Impressions and today I give you – iSwatch. iSwatch is basically swatches of beauty products taken with my iPhone – see what I did there? *winks* The photos won’t be the best quality and there won’t be in-depth product reviews but it will just be swatches and basic product info. Today’s iSwatch is the new Rimmel London BB Cream which has just landed in Australian shores.
Product Description : Rimmel London BB Cream
Rimmel London BB Cream with SPF 25 is marketed as a 9-in-1 BB Cream with the following “9 super powers”
- Brightens
- Moisturises
- Protects
- Conceals
- Smoothes
- Mattifies
- Covers
- Primes
- Minimises Pores
*ahem* Some of the “super powers” are almost similar…but I digress.
The price of $12.95 at Priceline was very reasonable and in sync with Garnier BB Cream.
Swatches of Rimmel London BB Cream – Light, Medium, Medium / Dark
I was pleased to see 3 shades in the range – Light, Medium and Medium / Dark.
If I recall correctly, the texture was pretty nice and moisturising. Not as light at the Garnier BB Cream (which is similar to a tinted moisturiser) and not as thick as the Asian BB Creams. In other words, it is an inbetweener BB Cream if one end of the scale is the Western BB Creams and the other end is the Asian blemish balms.
I didn’t buy the Rimmel BB Cream as I am officially on a spending ban because yours truly is off to Hong Kong in January – woop woop! And I will save my hard-earned $$$ and go crazy in Hong Kong instead
If you have tried Rimmel London BB Cream, please let us know your thoughts in the comments section. And let me know what you think of the iSwatch series – yay or nay? Apologies again for the blurry pics but I will try and be a better iSwatch-er for the next post.

26/10/2012 at 4:49 pm (205 days ago)When I heard about Rimmel releasing a new BB cream I got a tad excited. The Garnier BB creams didn’t come in my shade which was annoying. And I don’t really have enough money to buy a high end brand. I really hope the light is light enough for me
lol

26/10/2012 at 6:28 pm (205 days ago)Interesting.. I didn’t even know these were released! I might go visit my local Priceline to have a look. Personally don’t think I’ll be purchasing it though because I have found my HG BB cream by nature republic and I bought myself 4 of them before I left Korea in March hahaha! I’ve generally been disappointed with the western bb creams because they don’t give me the right coverage for my acne scars and large pores.

I think the “iSwatch” concept is a great idea!

21/11/2012 at 3:59 pm (179 days ago)The problem with the Rimmel BB cream is the colour light, that a lot of people will wear, as the other two are pretty dark, is a very cool pink undertone. This is opposite to the Garnier light one which as a far more mainstream neutral leaning a little bit toward yellow undertone. So, the Rimmel one is really for that english pinky skin which looks crap if you have the more lovely neutral or yellow toned or light olive skin.

@Silk buttons, You said it
I am a yellow undertone girl myself so Garnier suits me fine
