Lime Crime Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper
Eye primers are essential for long-lasting eye makeup especially for those with oily lids, i.e. yours truly. I used to strut around with what-I-thought-was-sexy eye makeup…only to look at a mirror to discover creased eyeshadow all over my oily lids – FAIL!!! Anyway, I want to thank the person who invented eye primer and also I want to thank Lime Crime for sending me their eye primer – Lime Crime Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper – for review on The Best Beauty Blog.
Product Description
No other primers work for you? Meet your new BFF: Lime Crime Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper! Formulated to withstand extreme heat, moisture and even the oiliest of eyelids, this primer is guaranteed to keep your eyeshadow on! In fact, it’s so potent our lab says you will need waterproof remover just to get it off.
My Opinions
First of all, the packaging is oh-so-pretty and I am a sucker for the pretty colour!! In fact, the colour reminds me of the Tiffany’s turquoise blue box. However, I must say that I am not a big fan of dipping my finger into jars, especially when I have long nails. But that’s what cotton buds are made for!
This Lime Crime eye primer has a thick texture which spreads a bit like smooth peanut butter, but blends well. It leaves a somewhat tacky residue which probably helps keep eyeshadow on. However, when applying, please be careful to avoid touching your lashes. I did this by accident and I felt like I had glued my eyelashes to each other.
I am extremely impressed with the long-lasting power of my eye makeup on top of this base. 12 hours and still creaseless!! I have used this with highly pigmented eyeshadows and I find that it helps intensify the colours.
This is a FOTD using Lime Crime Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper (for a step-by-step tutorial, click here)
To remove this primer, it takes a little bit more soaking time with my current favourite eye make-up remover.
The net weight is 7g (which includes the jar) so even though it may not be a lot of product for value of money, I have discovered that with Lime Crime Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper, a little goes a long, long way.
Lime Crime Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper can be purchased on :-
- The Lime Crime website for $17US (affiliate link : Lime Crime)
- Makeupnet for $19.99AUD
This product was sent to me for review purposes but all opinions are my own.

My only concern is that it’ll dry out!

@Vintage Makeup, Apparently if we keep this lid shut nice and tight, it’ll be fine

Erica from Lime Crime Makeup here. Thanks so much for the great review and tips, Ling! We’re so stoked you love the primer! Feel free to also try some glitter over the helper, too. It works like a charm!
Vintage Makeup: The primer should not dry out so long as you snap the lid shut nice and tight right after usage!
