The lovely people at Luma Cosmetics recently sent me a few products to try and I immediately had *heart eyes* when I saw the lovely baby pink packaging #pinkismyfavouritecolour #noimnotcrazylikeanniefromMKR #MKRwithdrawals #nextepisodeoneastermonday #muststophashtagging

Before I try a new brand, I like to browse their website for their background story and here’s what I found out about Luma Cosmetics :-

1 – It’s a makeup line by Aussie supermodel, Jessica Hart { she’s stunning! }
2 – Not tested on animals
3 – Free of mineral oils, sulphates and parabens

Here are my thoughts on the products I tested :-

Luma Liquid Foundation in Sand – I’m a big fan of liquid foundations but I wasn’t a big fan of this one as it didn’t blend that easily and I felt that it didn’t sit very well on my skin.

Luma Concealer – This was my favourite Luma product out of the lot!  It was a dream to apply with a concealer brush as it’s lovely and creamy so it blends really well and doesn’t leave that tell-tale caked-on concealer look in my undereye area.  A BIG HIT!  I’ve chatted to other people (on Instagram and Twitter) who have bought and loved this so it seems like I am not the only one 🙂

Luma Fawn & Taupe Eyeshadow – great neutral eyeshadow duo with Fawn as an eyelid colour and Taupe in the crease area to add depth.  However, colours are not highly pigmented so you do need to keep building the colour.

Luma Sun Kiss Bronzer – This bronzer adds a nice touch in defining cheekbones.  I’m sure there are more uses for bronzer but I’m waiting for J-Lo to give me a detailed tute 😛

Luma Jet Black Mineral Eye Definer – I have to say I’m in two minds with this eye pencil because a) it is not exactly jet black, blackest of blacks and b) it doesn’t stay on my waterline – but not many eye pencils do!  However, it’s great for a smudgey smokey grey-black look.

Luma Sheer Red Natural Shine Lip Gloss – C’mon, you can’t really go wrong with lip gloss and this one gives my lips a nice sheer red sticky glossy look.

Overall, I’m impressed with Luma Cosmetics and can’t wait to see what other products they launch.  If you’re interested in trying these products out yourselves, hit up Priceline!

Have you tried anything from the Luma range?  What did you like the most?

    The packaging is so adorable!!! I’ve read mixed reviews on this brand but I wouldn’t mind giving them a swatch next time I’m in Priceline.
