luxe lip crayons, lip crayons, Clinique Chubby Stick Intense, Bobbi Brown Art Stick, Sisley Phyto Lip Twist

You know when you go to the supermarket and you pop in a lipstick (or two!) in your shopping trolley and it’s still considered “groceries”… Well, you can also buy high end cosmetics, specifically (lip) crayons, and consider that “stationery supplies”!  You like?

If so, here are 3 luxe lip crayons you should check out :-

  • Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in 01 Curviest Caramel
  • Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Harlow Red*
  • Sisley Paris Phyto-Lip Twist 5 Berry*

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in 01 Curviest Caramel

Clinique Chubby Stick, Clinique lip crayon

Although lip crayons have been around for a while, I credit Clinique for making them trendy again with the release of their cute Chubby Sticks.  The Intense version is…well…more intense (duh!) in terms of pigmentation and hydration.

Curviest Caramel is a My Lips But Better shade so it’s not exactly an “in-yo-face” kinda colour but it makes a subtle difference that completes a “no make-up” make-up look.  It’s a nice creamy formula but it doesn’t last that long on my lips because I am constantly snacking / drinking but I don’t mind reapplying my lippy since it is such a cute chubby thing 😛

Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Harlow Red

Bobbi Brown lip crayon, luxe lip crayon, Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Australia

Bobbi Brown Art Stick is all kinds of sexy and sophisticated.  It’s more of a chunky lip pencil than lip crayon as it needs to be sharpened – although it can be argued that sharpening is somewhat troublesome compared to twist-ups, that is what I LOVE most about it.  The sharpened point delivers precision to line lips and it can still look like it’s in pristine condition after sharpening (whereas the twist-up lip crayon nibs get squashed flat like pancakes).

Harlow Red is a gorgeous raspberry red with a creamy semi-matte finish.  I love how I can layer up the colour and make it bold or sheer it out for a flushed rosy tint.

Another bonus is that Bobbi Brown Art Stick can be used on the cheeks as a blusher!!  Smart cookie!!  I love multi-tasking products!!

Sisley Paris Phyto-Lip Twist in 5 Berry

Sisley Phyto Lips, Sisley Phyto Lip Twist, Sisley Lip Crayon

Animal print – you either love it or hate it.  Of course, I’m of the former camp.  Not only does it look “Wow”, but the Berry shade is such a current colour (current / currant – geddit?!!).  Sisley Paris Phyto-Lip Twist is a twist-up lip crayon with a lovely creamy formula which glides onto lips easily and the lasting power of Berry is fantastic.  I wore this on an epic laksa soup noodles session and it remained intact!

The Sisley crayon sounds very impressive! I’m not a fan of the animal print of the packaging, but the shade is gorgeous!
