A few weeks ago, I introduced you to the new cleanser I was trialling - Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Daily Wash (5 lucky readers will get to win this but more on that later). Well, as part of the sponsored series, I had my portrait painted.
Here is my experience…
I had started using Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Daily Wash 2 weeks before my portrait session. I was having some hormonal breakout with blackheads along my jawline but at the same time, I have dry skin so I was slightly apprehensive that even though this cleanser would clear up my blackheads, it may dry out my skin in the process. However, my skin has behaved beautifully - blackheads are clearing up and my skin doesn’t feel dry nor dehydrated, but well-nourished. Result!! I’m going to trial the cleanser for a few more weeks before my final verdict but so far, so good!
Anyway, by the time it was my portrait session, I was feeling highly confident about getting it done. I had been getting more sleep so my dark circles and eyebags were less noticeable. The blackheads along my jawline were clearing up and my skin wasn’t throwing a flaky with the new cleanser.
I do have a slight confession to make though… On the night before my portrait session, I started picking on what I thought was a blackhead on my forehead… Turned out it was a new “freckle” (read : age spot) and I picked it till it bled and it formed a nice red crust on the day of my portrait session. Oops!
Apart from that self-afflicted skin boo-boo, I was ready to put my best face forward for the portrait - eyebags, fine lines, age spots, scars, everything! What do you think of my portrait?
