Playing with Mary Kay Make-Up…

Make Up Porn, Mary Kay Melbourne, Mary Kay makeup

I was recently blessed with a generous and delightful care package courtesy of Mary Kay filled with make-up galore.  Everything was delicately wrapped and every time, I opened something up, I was like, “WOW!” or “OOH!”  #makeupporn

My Husband heard all these “interesting” noises so he came to my Beauty Room to investigate and he, being a guy who has no interest in make-up whatsoever, just smiled, shrugged his shoulders and went back to his Man Cave.

Anyway, I thought I’d do a #makeupporn picture heavy post so here I go…

Here’s the Mary Kay Compact which has a magnetic refill system to create your own ultimate palette with space for compact brushes and even a slot designed for their new True Dimensions Lipstick (which I will show you later…)

For the Compact, I received 6 Mineral Eye Color eyeshadows which were actually really fun to slot into the Compact.

Now I kinda understand why girls love depotting!

The eyeshadows are highly pigmented and easy to blend – I have a selfie featuring some of the colours later in the post.

Also, I’ve had a browse on the Mary Kay website and you can get blusher, bronzer or highlighter to put in the Compact palette instead of 6 eyeshadows.  So yeah, you can have endless fun making plenty of combinations.

And now onto the lipsticks… #lipstickporn

There’s the Mary Kay Creme Lipsticks which have the classic black plastic casing like many other lippies out there.  But then there’s the ultra cool and stylish brand spanking new True Dimensions Lipsticks which I have gone gaga over just because of their modern silver packaging.

And what awesome bright lippie colours in time for Spring :)  That’s a big thumbs up from me Mary Kay!

Last, but not least is the Mary Kay Translucent Loose Powder  – I have already tested it and it is really good!  It comes with a Kabuki brush which I found a tad scratchy… but maybe it will soften up after I’ve washed it a few times.

And here’s a selfie of me rocking some of the Mary Kay eyeshadows and a light dusting of the loose powder which has kept me shine-free.  Apologies for the poor quality iPhone pic!

Anyway, have you tried Mary Kay make-up before?  Well, here’s a great opportunity to get your paws on some Mary Kay cosmetics.  The lovely Kim-Marie – a fellow blogger whom I had tea with last year in Sydney – at Kimba Likes is a Mary Kay consultant and she is offering 20% off RRP and free postage in Australia!  For all the deets, click here.  And if there are any items featured here that you would like a full detailed review on, let me know in the comments :)

P.S.  I don’t usually do shoutouts here…but it’s my second youngest brother, Sam’s 18th birthday today!!!  It has been nearly 3 years since I have seen him and my other 2 brothers since my family live in Scotland :(  Anyway, I can’t believe he is of legal age now!  WOW!  Where did time go?  He actually just left home yesterday as he is off to Edinburgh for uni…  He’s a smart cookie because he’s studying Medicine! #proudbigsister  Not that he reads my beauty blog, but thought I’d do a birthday shoutout here, simply because I can :P

“Happy birthday Sam, you’re a wee old man now!!!  You owe me a drink :P  Lots of love from big sis, bro-in-law & baby bump xxx”
