Proactiv+, Proactiv+ Australia, best acne products

Acne.  The dreaded skin condition that nobody wants.  And if you’re unlucky enough to get it, you will know it is a bitch to manage it.

I come from a family of acne sufferers.  My Mum was hospitalised after a crazy hormonal acne breakout after giving birth to one of my 6 younger siblings.  And out of my family of 9, only my Dad has acne-free, blemish-free skin.  As for me, my acne manifests on my back as bacne.  And this bacne had a bitchfit when my hormones surged after giving birth a few months ago.

Enter Proactiv+

Proactiv+ is one up of the original Proactiv.  As well as blemish control, it has been formulated to nourish the skin to result in clear and radiant skin.  As you all know, I have dry skin on my face so I don’t get pimples that often (except around my chin area or right between my brows at the most inappropriate time!), but with my bacne breakout, the stars zits aligned and it was great timing for me to trial the Proactiv+ Deluxe Kit, as part of Beauty Directory’s Expert Panel Members.

Proactiv+, Proactiv+ Australia, best acne products

The Proactiv+ Deluxe Kit contains 5 deluxe sized products for $54.99 (value for money – tick!) :-

1.  Proactiv+ Skin Smoothing Exfoliator

I enlisted the help of my Husband – who was more than happy to give me a back scrub! – and this exfoliator felt really gentle on my skin, even when used daily.

2.  Proactiv+ Pore Targeting Solution

This contains 2.5% benzoyl peroxide which helped clear up one of those major throbbing red pimples (you know the ones!) in days!

3.  Proactiv+ Complexion Perfecting Hydrator

This is a moisturiser used on top of all the blemish control treatments.  As I used most of the treatments on my bacne, I didn’t mind that it did not contain SPF, but for the majority who use Proactiv+ on their face, don’t forget to apply sunscreen on top.

4.  Proactiv+ Mark Fading Pads

The pack contains 5 pads and when I used them all up in 5 consecutive days, my Husband and I really did notice a difference!  LIKE!

5.  Proactiv+ Eye Brightening Serum

Initially, I did think it was a bit odd to have an eye cream inside the deluxe pack of an acne brand, but then again, it is great to see that Proactiv+ is treating the entire face.  As mentioned on this blog before, I am not a huge eye cream fan because I have a tendency to develop milia which are a PAIN to get rid of, so I used this on and off throughout the 4 week trial period.  As a result, I did not notice much of a difference in terms of eye brightening…but that could also be due to the fact that I don’t get enough sleep thanks to the regular wakings of my little baby!!

If you have acne-prone skin, then this Proactiv+ Deluxe Kit is definitely worth a try as there a good selection of products and it won’t break the bank.

I am glad it helped my bacne because with the warmer seasons here, it may be time to bring out my bikini!  Oh wait…my back is sorted but my front has that post-preggie pouch and stretch marks ahoy…hmm…may need to rethink this…!  *tongue sticking out emoji*

Proactiv+ Deluxe Kit is only $54.99?! That’s pretty affordable! Good for you that you have found this kit for your acne problems. But, I suggest that you try Medik8 products. They may not have the same prices but one thing is for sure, they are worth the money. I love their Beta Gel ’cause it is designed for use on individual blemishes or problem areas. Their Anti-Bacterial Exfoliating Foaming Cleanser provides deep cleansing and acts as an antibacteria. Cool, isn’t it. I think ya’ll should try it. I highly recommend Flawless for that.
