Olay Aquaction review, Olay Acquaction range

During my recent travels, when I landed in Scotland, it was (unsurprisingly) F-F-F-FREEZING.  My skin immediately felt the effects of the long flights, the plunging temperatures and gas central heating and it literally started cracking up!

I was like – WTF?  I have family and friends to catch up with who I haven’t seen for almost 4 years!!  WHY ME?!!  I can’t let them see me looking like a frumpy bum!!!

Luckily, the smart cookie inside me must have anticipated this because before I left Hong Kong to head to UK, I had picked up a few products from the Olay Aquaction range and they miraculously saved my skin and it was back to normal in a matter of days.

First up, there’s the Olay Aquaction Deep Hydrating Dew.  This is a miracle moisturising toner!!!  I have no idea what is in it because I cannot read the Chinese ingredients and I am too rushed for time to Google it – but all that matters is, IT WORKS!!!  After cleansing my face, I use a cotton pad and saturate it with this Deep Hydrating Dew and swipe it all over my face.  It absorbs really quickly and it’s almost like a very very watery serum which makes my skin instantly smoother and softer.  If I am extra tired and lazy at night, sometimes I do skip this step and I can feel the difference the next day – it’s just not as nice without it.

Then it’s time for moisturiser – Olay Aquaction Intensive Nourishing Emulsion.  This is a lovely light but deeply hydrating gel-like moisturiser.  It smells fresh and reminds me of the Biotherm moisturisers I used in my twenties.  Unfortunately, you do have to finger-dip which might not be ideal for the germophobes.  I used to be germophobe but since baby came along…what germs?!!

Using these two products together really keep my skin soft and supple like a baby’s bum and as it is now Winter in Melbourne, I am SUPER glad that I have this winning combo to use at night.  It may not address other skin issues like unwanted pigmentation but at least it prevents my face from freaking out from the cold seasonal changes!

When I went to pay for this, I got a cute little freebie – Olay Aquaction Softening Sleeping Mask.  And oh my word, I am going to have to buy the full-sized version when I finish it.  If you have used the infamous Laneige Sleeping Mask and loved it, you will love this even MORE!!!  It is most definitely the best overnight sleeping mask I have ever used.  Those dry, cracked and itchy patches on my cheeks were soothed and smoothed overnight and whenever I use it, my skin always looks glowy the next day!

I have nothing but love, love, love for the Olay Aquaction range!  I can have baby soft skin too!!

Sadly, I haven’t spotted this at the Olay section in Priceline, BUT I won’t have to fly to Hong Kong to repurchase because there’s always online shopping.  The Olay Aquaction range can purchased here with free shipping.

It’s a pity the Aquaction range is not available in Australia. I tried the moisturiser and I love it!

I’m pretty sure we don’t have this range here. Too bad. And why Olay is calles Olaz here still baffles me, lol.

@Kiss & Make-up, I wonder why they have different names. I remember Olay was Olan or Ulay in UK
