What Are The Last 3 Beauty Products You Bought?

I am a curious cat { AKA nosey bi-atch! } but funnily enough, I am not a huge fan of those “What’s in my handbag?” posts.

Nothing wrong with them but it always makes me feel a bit uneasy when I look inside my handbag to find strands of hair, biscuit crumbs, chewed up chewing gum wrapped up in pieces of paper, snot-covered tissue paper { the perks of being a mum to a toddler! }, etc…

Anyway, back to the curious cat thing…

I’d love to know what are the last 3 beauty products you bought?

Benefit They're Real Mascara & Bioderma Hydrabio Serum

Here are mine…

Blue Bioderma AKA Hydrabio Range

bioderma hydrabio

Bioderma Hydrabio or what I like to call it – the light blue Bioderma range.

The skincare stars aligned and I found myself attending an awesome blogger skincare event { informative yet highly entertaining } which introduced me to this fabulous skincare range highly suitable to my current skin condition, i.e. sensitive, irritated and dehydrated.

My Top 3 Favourite BIODERMA Products & Where You can Buy BIODERMA in Australia

I think it’s the week for French beauty products!  On Monday, there was Dior and on Tuesday, we had Laura Mercier and today, we have BIODERMA – a popular French skincare beauty brand which made its way to Australia last year.  Famous celebrities have raved about BIODERMA Crealine Sensibio H2O, the miracle water make-up remover, but there are other awesome products in the range too.

Here are my top 3 favourites :-

1.  BIODERMA Crealine H2O (now known as Sensibio)

DUH!  Of course, I love this miracle water.  I have an entire blog post dedicated to its awesomeness { read my awesome review if you haven’t already }  The best news ever is that it is now available in a flat top pump dispenser in 500ml in Australia.

2.   BIODERMA Atoderm  Ultra-Rich Foaming Gel (somehow sounds sexier in French ‘Gel moussant’)

The Atoderm range is AMAZEBALLS for those with dry / sensitive skin and can be used on babies and children too!  Anyway, the beauty of the Ultra-Rich Foaming Gel is that it can be used on the body AND face!!!  I was delighted when I found out because I kinda get a little shower gel envy when I see my Husband use his shower gel on his face.  Now I can do the same too without worrying that it will strip my face of its natural oils 🙂

3.  BIODERMA Atoderm Nourishing Cream

This is another product from the Atoderm range that I adore as I am a dry / sensitive skin sufferer.  Last month, you may recall that I vowed to moisturise my body every day { refresh your memory if you can’t remember } and this is one of the moisturisers that my skin lapped up.

BIODERMA Créaline H2O Is A Miracle Water!

BIODERMA Crealine H2O Make-Up Remover, Australia, review, water

If you’re looking for an oil-free gentle make-up remover, allow me to point you in the direction of this fantastique French product – BIODERMA Créaline H2O.  I first read about this miracle water on beauty blogs where it got amazing reviews and just when I was about to ask my sister to bring over a bottle from UK, I was contacted by the Bioderma PR in Australia.  And that, my friends, is how I landed my first bottle of BIODERMA Créaline H2O.

Product Description

At the cutting edge of innovation, BIODERMA has pioneered micellar solutions. Specially formulated for sensitive, normal to dry skins, the Créaline H2O micelle solution gently cleanses face and eyes.  It removes water-resistant make-up.  The micelles contained in its formula effectively micro-emulsify impurities while maintaining the skin’s balance (soap-free, physiological pH).

My Opinions

I love it!  It is unlike any other make-up remover I have ever tried.  BIODERMA Créaline H2O is naturally clear, does not smell, is not oily and so so so gentle yet highly effective at removing make-up.  It does not sting my eyes and does not irritate my skin whatsoever.  It removes the most stubborn BB creams (yup, even the Missha BB Cream which is truly thick and balmy) and stubborn mascara without pulling off lashes.  Woop woop!!

It’s okay if you don’t believe me because you can try and buy it yourself.  Word on the street is that it’s available in selected pharmacists around Australia so keep your eyes peeled.  In Melbourne, there are stockists in Carlton, Collingwood, Richmond, Parkville, South Yarra, North Brighton – but best to email for more details 🙂

BIODERMA Créaline H2O Has A Copycat!

While I was in Hong Kong last month, I visited BIODERMA Concept Stores (in Mong Kok and Sha Tin) and I was highly tempted to buy more of their products because they have cleansers, toners, moisturisers, whitening products, sunscreens…BUT…their SA’s (that’s Sales Assistants) harassed me before I even entered the store!  It’s a Hong Kong thing…the same happened when I was in the Jill Stuart stores…so I hurried away empty-handed…*sad face*

However, in my local Colormix (it’s like a Sasa) I had a double-take when I saw a BIODERMA Créaline H2O doppelganger – INSETA [World Spirit] H2O.  From memory, a 500ml bottle of BIODERMA cost $109 HKD and INSETA cost $99 HKD.  Naturally, I had to buy it to see if there was any difference.

I can’t find much on the Internet about INSETA but it’s made in Italy.  The ingredients of both are very similar.  I have no idea who copied who.

INSETA is also a gentle yet effective make-up remover…BUT I much prefer BIODERMA Créaline H2O because it is not scented.  INSETA has this soapy smell which doesn’t appeal to me.  BIODERMA Créaline H2O is definitely on my repurchase list!

What make-up remover are you currently using?  Have you tried BIODERMA Créaline H2O before?
