My name is Ling and I am guilty of buying too many beauty products! Eeks! I have been reading a number of beauty blogs where the blogger will post about their empties or make-up products that have “hit pan” – i.e. products they have used up. I looked into my bulging skincare and cosmetics collection and realised that instead of having empties, I have unopened beauty goodies! I even have an unopened mascara from when I went travelling in Seoul in September 2009.
I’m going to show you a small portion of my collection of unopened beauty goodies. Yes, you read correctly, it’s just a small portion. There are loads more but let’s not go there…
Maybelline Silk Glam By Eyestudio in Purple Drama
L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes in Extra Black
Missha The Style 4D Mascara (this is the one from Seoul)
L’Oreal Paris Double Extension Renewal Serum Inside Mascara
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
Bloom Pure Mineral Eye Shadow & Brush Set in Emerald
Dr Nick Lowe Hydrating Foaming Cleanser
Babor Skinovage Complex C set with Maximum Vitalizing Cream and Vitalizing Vitamin Capsules
Babor Lipid Repair Fluid
L’Oreal Paris Elvive Colour Protect Conditioning Protect Spray
Vaseline Essential Moisture Daily Body Lotion
Philip Kingsley Preen Cream
Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Therapy
Victoria Jackson Lip Addiction Lip Balm Quartet
Rimmel London Royal Gloss
Nailene French Finish fake nails
Lip Smacker in Tropical Punch
Now don’t be mistaken. Most of these beauty goodies are not unopened because I don’t like them. In fact, I bought everything except the hand cream and the lip products which were presents from friends. I haven’t opened them yet because I am using tons of other stuff at the moment and I’ll get round to them sooner or later.
Now that I’ve shared, it’s your turn – what unopened beauty goodies do you have? Please leave a comment or even blog about it and link me back – I’d love to see what unopened beauty goodies you have.
Mascara is my most favourite make-up product. I have tried lots of brands and I think different mascara works on different lashes. Today, I am going to review the mascara I am currently using which is L’Oreal Paris Double Extension Beauty Tubes.
L’Oreal Paris Double Extension Beauty Tubes is a lengthening mascara with a 2-step process. The first step is a nourishing base coat which contains ceramide R and panthenol-D to protect and strengthen lashes. The second step creates lengthening tubes around each lash to make lashes appear up to 80% longer.
1. Mascara free – uncurled and then curled lashes. What lashes? EXACTLY!! I freakin’ love eyelash curlers!
2. After applying the first step – white base coat (Note : I skip this step out for my lower lashes)
3. Wait for 1 minute and then apply the second step – black lengthening tubes – to upper and lower lashes
What I like about L’Oreal Double Extension Beauty Tubes
As you can see in the photos, this mascara really helps to lengthen and thicken my short stubby lashes. I also like it because I am able to use this mascara on my lower lashes without worrying that it will run because let me tell you, this mascara has stubborn staying power – which is also part of its downfall…
What I dislike about L’Oreal Paris Double Extension Beauty Tubes
It can be summed up from the photo. Basically, it is a bugger to remove. You have to wait AT LEAST 30 seconds! This is a long time when you’ve had a long ass day and all you want to do is go to bed!!! And also, the packaging is poor because there are cracks forming already – and I have barely used it.
L’Oreal Paris Double Extension Beauty Tubes does a good job of lengthening my lashes at an affordable price for a drugstore brand.
Sometimes I wish I had been blessed with long thick eyelashes…but alas, I have short stubby lashes. I have many sets of false eyelashes, but I am a total klutz at sticking them on, so I don’t bother. I was delighted when I found a miracle product for my short eyelashes – L’Oreal Paris Renewal Lash Serum
L’Oreal Paris Renewal Lash Serum is an intensive treatment designed to boost the lashes, providing complete lash coverage from root to tip. The serum also works to reduce lash loss during make-up removal and extend the length of time lashes grow before they fall out, leading to longer lashes.
The applicator is like a mascara wand without the bristles. I like to apply this before mascara and sometimes, I just use it as a clear mascara.
- I have noticed a big change in my lashes!! They are thicker and glossier.
- My previously non-existent lower lashes have grown longer.
- As for the claims to reduce lash loss, I cannot comment on that because I haven’t noticed a difference.
- I liked it so much that I bought another tube before I even finished my first tube!
- Highly recommended 9.5 out of 10
In conclusion : L’Oreal Paris Renewal Lash Serum is a definite must have for me!
