Whenever I say I am on a diet, I subconsciously sabotage my diet and binge like no tomorrow.  There’s some reverse psychology going on there, methinks.  I also realised that this applies to shopping bans too…

Yes, I went on a self-imposed shopping ban last week and then, somehow, ended up shopping on Saturday and Sunday.  Oopsie!  It wasn’t a huge shopping haul…but it was enough to do damage…(please bear in mind that my Husband is on a measly apprentice wage which does NOT even pay 4-figures per month and as for me, I have a one-day per week job and have temporary days when I work.  Yes, I am still job-hunting, but usually I spend the time blogging…)

Anyway, onto my Weekend Haul :-

1.  Rimmel London I Love Lasting Finish Nail Polish in Azure

I had blogged about my NOTD the other day.  Beautiful blue!  I mean, how could I resist??
Bought this in David Jones for $5.95 AUD.

2.  Missha Leopard Nail Polish in Blue

This is similar to OPI Black Shatter except in dark navy blue.  Will do a NOTD in the future.  Missha is a Korean brand and I have used their BB Cream and face masks in the past.  (One thing I like about Australia is that you can buy Asian brands, unlike UK…even though the prices are hiked up.)
Bought this in Missha store in Box Hill, Melbourne for $8.50 AUD.

3.  Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Scent Spray

I know a lot of old ladies wear this.  Okay, I am an old lady!!!  But I just love everything with green tea in it.  I drink it everyday – green tea itself, not the perfume!!  This is the 4th bottle of this light and refreshing scent I have purchased!  It should be my signature smell!
Bought this in mychemist for $13 AUD.

4.  Sexy Blue Suede Shoes

Come to think of it, I bought a lot of blue items last weekend…  Anyway, these shoes are sexy as!  I originally saw the black version on Katie’s blog and I thought they looked amazing.  And then when I came across them on Sunday, I knew I had to buy them!  I uhm-ed and ahh-ed for a long time trying to decide whether I wanted the black pair with the gold lining or the blue pair with the silver lining.  Hubby said black – but I chose blue in the end.  I have NO idea when and where I will wear them but meanwhile, I can add them to my shoe collection!  (My shoe collection moulded a few months ago!)
Bought in Target for $19.90 AUD.

5.  Abercrombie & Fitch Grey Zip Fleece

It’s getting cold in Melbourne so this is ideal to keep me warm.  I wanted a hoody but seeing as I am a cheapass, this was on sale and was half the price of hoodies.
Bought this in Frat House for $12 AUD.

6.  Clear Beads with Black Ribbon & Owl Long Chain Necklace

I can’t resist sales items.  These were only $5 AUD each and would look so good with any outfit.
Bought these in equip for $5 AUD each.

7.  Black Cocktail Ring

I stepped into this accessories store called Lovisa in Chadstone and I wanted everything.  The accessories are really pretty in here!!  But of course, I zoomed into the sales section and chose this ring.  I see so many girls wearing cool cocktail rings and I just wanted one.  I have no idea when and where I will wear it but at least I have one!  LOL
Bought this in Lovisa for $5 AUD.

I also bought other stuff which are not related to fashion nor beauty so I shall not mention them.  Anyway, I am not going to buy anything for the rest of this month…okay, who am I kidding?!

What a great haul! I do the same as you when I ban myself from shopping, I’m actually twice as bad than I am normally so I’ve given up trying to ban myself now as long I put a lot of thought into what I buy and actually use it all then it’s ok!

@Megan, I can always justify my purchases and I always promise to use it to get my money’s worth…but sadly I have a pile of unused clothes, shoes, handbags and unopened beauty products!!! I am so bad!

    I like your hoodie 😉
I don’t know what the exchange rate is like but based on the price of the rimmel nail polish, these all look like good bargains

@Laura, Yes, they were bargains because I refuse to pay full price in Oz – charge an arm and a leg for stuff
