priceline haul

Aussie ladies, in case you’ve been hiding under a rock, Priceline has been doing one of their infamous 40% off cosmetics sales and today is their last day so head there after work or alternatively, shop online 🙂

Anyway, I braved the masses today and went into Priceline with Bunty in a pram { yes, I got plenty of death stares as I crashed into ankles 😛 } and here’s what I bought…

Nude By Nature Professional Brush Kit – $17.97

Nude By Nature Professional Brush Kit

I’ve been impressed with Nude By Nature before so I figured I couldn’t really go wrong for this absolute bargain.  It’s an 8 piece set with :-

  • A makeup brush bag with additional holders for more brushes
  • Kabuki brush – Bunty loved this and would not let go when I was taking photos!
  • Defining blush / powder brush – feels nice and soft
  • Deluxe eye shader
  • Domed eye blending brush – gutted to find mine looking extremely dog-eared!  Hopefully, it will bounce back to shape after I wash it!
  • Concealer brush
  • Dual headed eye definer and lip brush
  • Precision sharpener – I’m always losing my makeup pencil sharpeners, are you?

I would have loved a nice buffing brush in the kit but all in all, I am pretty happy with this purchase.

Australis AC On Tour Contouring & Highlighting Kit – $10.17

Bought this on a whim.  Sometimes I barely have time to even straighten my frizzy hair, let alone try and contour my face!!!  However, I had been hearing good stuff about this kit on the interwebs so it came into my basket.

Australis AC On Tour Contouring & Highlighting Kit

When I opened the cardboard box, I really loved the sturdy packaging of the kit – black with metallic pink.  There are 6 powder shades for contouring and highlighting.  Hmm…I think it would have been better if they were cream formulations { it means it can also be used for concealing } instead of powder…but I shall report back once I have channeled my inner Kim Kardashian and tried this contouring shizznizz.

Australis Oh Hai Brow! Kit – $10.17

Australis Oh Hai Brow! Kit

Whilst browsing the Australis stand, I couldn’t resist picking up this brow shaping kit too as I recently dropped my FOA brow kit and it broke.  It reminds me of the Benefit brow kit – which I gave to my sister a few Christmases ago.

There are so many drugstore gems and newbies I wanted to get!!!!

I also wanted to buy this gold liquid eyeliner from Savvy by DB but it was sold out and I can’t find it on the website arggghhhh!!!!  And I also wanted to pick up the Australis Voluptulash as it is many beauty bloggers’ HG drugstore mascara but then I thought it would be overkill buying 3 things from the same brand so I put it back on the shelf.

My browsing came to a halt when Bunty’s snacks were finished.  She was getting antsy so I had to leave before toddler meltdown commenced.  Le sigh.

I spent just under $40 so it wasn’t bad.  I’m gearing myself up for Friday when it is Urban Decay day!!!!  I need a new eyeliner so I’m coming for ya!!!

Did you buy anything from the Priceline sale?  What did you get?

I love that brow kit! I bought a contour kit a while back, but still have to try it. I grabbed the brushes too, but that will be a gift, and I couldn’t resist Australis’ velour lips and another Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 🙂 and a bb cream, but that I actually needed.
Would have bought more, but the shelves were empty 🙁

Oh yay! Glad I bought the brow kit then 🙂 Pity about the empty shelves…the masses must have bought everything yesterday!

A lovely little purchase there! The contour kit looks lovely. Hopefully you’ll have time to try it out. I couldn’t be bothered to face the crowd so didn’t get anything. Luckily, I’m in no rush to get anything I need yet!

Ooh! Gotta love sales! Priceline is tempting enough as it is before they discount the crap out of it! Kind of relieved I did not know about this haha.
I would love to learn more about contouring. It’s always seemed kind of daunting to me.

Priceline used to be my go-to store before having baby. Nowadays, I only go there if they run crazy special deals like this 😀 P.S. I also think contouring is daunting too…YIKES!!!

I ended up with most of the new Essence collection – so I think that was two lipsticks, eight (!) nail colours, two eyeshadow pallettes and a blush for $35. It’s cheap and cheerful all the way for me. 🙂

I have the Australis Contour Kit and I absolutely love it! I’m also impressed that you controlled yourself to not buy more things 😛
