I don’t know how it happened but it just did.  Instead of being faithful to one shower product, I started using four shower products – Dove Go Fresh Energise Body Wash Grapefruit & Lemongrass Scent, Bioglo Red Ginseng Body Scrub, Botanics Of Australia Revitalising Body Cleanser* and Medihoney Gentle Body Wash* – every time I shower for different body parts!  The way I see it is that the skin on my body is not the same type all the way so I need to cater to this.  Allow me to introduce you to my current shower buddies…

Dove Go Fresh Energise Body Wash Grapefruit & Lemongrass Scent

My friend came to visit from Hong Kong and all he bought us was this shower cream – LOL.  The fruity zingy smell is gorgeous and I use this on my armpits before shaving.  Because it is very moisturising, my armpits don’t get that post-shaving burn.  My Husband uses this with a shower puff all over his body (but you didn’t really want to know that, did you?)

Bioglo Red Ginseng Body Scrub

Bioglo is a popular Korean brand which is available to buy in Cosway stores.  This body scrub is the bee’s knees!!!  Exfoliates so well and smells amazing.  I use this on my sandpaper legs, my bum and occasionally on my upper arms when I get dry patches of skin.  Highly recommended must-have shower product right here!  (Reviewed in more detail here)

Botanics Of Australia Revitalising Body Cleanser*

I have previously reviewed a couple of boa products and I didn’t particularly like their smell, but this one smells good – very refreshing but subtle lemon-ish scent.  It is extremely hydrating with a velvety texture and I use this on my arms, which then feel nice and soft afterwards.  It’s almost like a body moisturiser.  It’s definitely worth repurchasing this when I am finished with it.

Medihoney Gentle Body Wash*

I use this SLS-free cleanser on my neck and chest area.  I used to get a lot of red pimples on my chest and squeezing them didn’t really do much.  But since I started using this, it has somehow cleared that up.  Perhaps because it contains honey which is naturally antibacterial and soothing.  I tend to be over-generous with this and splodge it all over my upper body.  This is also very good on sensitive and sore, weepy patches of eczema on my body.  Definitely a more pleasant alternative to what I was using for eczema before.  An enthusiastic thumbs-up from me!

What About The Other Body Parts?

If you are super-sleuth, you may have deduced that I only mentioned a few body parts – armpits, bum, arms, legs, neck and chest – but what about the other body parts, e.g. my back and my muff?

Well, I don’t have “bacne” or at least, if I do, I can’t see nor feel it – so I tend to let my shampoo and conditioner flow down from when I wash my hair and hope that the shampoo will cleanse my back and the conditioner will moisturise my back.

As for the vaginal area, I keep it clean with just plain water.  I refuse to use any muff products to wash it as I am afraid to disturb the pH of it and cause a vaginal imbalance and suffer from the much-dreaded thrush.  Fungal does not equate to fun gal.  (Am I witty or what? :P)

Do you use different shower products on different parts of your body?  Or am I a weirdo?  Who are your shower buddies?

Products marked with * were sent for consideration but all opinions are my own.

  1. That Ginseng scrub sounds pretty awesome! I have to get rid of some of my bath stuff before I get new stuff, though. I’m overrun right now!

  2. Interesting…I just use 1 body wash from The Body Shop in Mango! And for my feet I use soap 🙂 I don’t think I use as many bath products as most girls. I am more of a minimalist 🙂
