Air Wick Black Edition Multicolour Candle in Crackling Fire & Cinnamon Spice, Voluspa Crane Flower Petite Jar Candle, Glasshouse Fragrances Montego Bay Coconut & Lime Triple Scented Candle Destination Miniature

I can’t believe I am so late to the party…but scented candles, where have you been all my life?!!!  Light ’em up, baby!!!  Here’s a trio of candles I have been lighting up lately featuring Glasshouse Fragrances, Voluspa and Air Wick…

Glasshouse Fragrances Montego Bay Coconut & Lime Triple Scented Candle

Yes, eagle-eyed readers will remember that I have previously featured this candle.  It was a lovely birthday gift which triggered my new candle obsession.  Not only does this Glasshouse candle smell amazing, but the jar is divine.  I cannot wait to use the reuseable glass jar and fill it with…something…haven’t thought of what yet though! 😛

Glasshouse Fragrances Montego Bay Coconut & Lime Triple Scented Candle Destination Miniature version : RRP $18.95

Voluspa Crane Flower Petite Jar Candle

Voluspa scented candles, Australia scented candles

The beautifully embossed decorative tin is actually made from glass.  And the scent is not for the faint-hearted as it is relatively strong.  Apparently it is scented with Birds of Paradise nectar, juicy grapefruit and geraniums…but my nose can’t distinguish scents except whether I like it or not.  And I like this one!

Voluspa Crane Flower Petite Jar Candle : RRP $22.95 from Saison

Air Wick Black Edition Multicolour Candle in Crackling Fire & Cinnamon Spice

Airwick scented candles, Airwick black edition multi coloured candle, air wick australia

At first, I thought it looked like an ordinary candle…but turns out that the motif in the jar changes colour when you light it.  From pink to purple to blue to green…  It’s quite fascinating to watch!  The smell was pleasant at first…but then it lingered too much in the air (kinda sickeningly sweet) to the point that I have banned it from the bedroom…as it was somehow putting me off eating cinnamon spiced carrot cake.  Weird huh?  I blame it on my pregnancy hormones and the delirious insomniac dreams I have been having…

One thing I don’t like about this candle is that it doesn’t have a lid so it gathers dust easily…and spider’s webs – UGH!!!

Air Wick Black Edition Multicolour Candle in Crackling Fire & Cinnamon Spice : RRP $10.85 from Coles

Crumpler matches - smallest matchstick ever

Check out the cutest matches ever!!!  I got this teeny weeny box of matches from Crumpler (Husband wants to buy a MANLY nappy bag from Crumpler…but erm…they don’t do nappy bags dear!).  They are SO CUTE but kinda deadly not practical as I have burnt my thumbnail dozens of times as I am not quick enough to light the candles, LOL!  The purple light you see to the left of the photo is from the Air Wick candle above.  And yep, as you can see from the photo, like a good Mum-to-be, I have been researching sleep solutions for babies…however, it put ME to sleep instead…*ahem*

All the scented candles featured today are gifts from friends / PR – thank you peeps!  If you’re looking for a stocking filler this year, scented candles might be the way…  Just be careful of fire hazard, etc.  My obsession of scented candles will be short-lived after bubs is born as I will be a paranoid parent and won’t light up any candles AT ALL…  At least, they look pretty scattered around the house 😛

Which brands of scented candles do you recommend?  I think I want something berrylicious or orange-scented or maybe with green tea…mmm…yeah, I like any smells associated with food or drink *hehe* (EXCEPT CHEESE!!!)
